Purpose of Position
Netfast is currently seeking Principal IP Network Consultants to join our Global Accounts team. This team supports client engagements throughout the US. We are looking to immediately staff an engagement in Dallas, TX. The duration of this engagement will be 6 - 12 months. This engagement involves building a service provider environment from the ground up. Candidates looking for full time permanent positions must be able to travel as needed. 1099 Contractors will be considered as well.
Position Responsibilities
Technical/Consulting
- 7+ years experience in design, implementation and operation of IP networks
- Expertise in MPLS, Routing/Switching, LAN/WAN Protocols, QoS, Mobile IP, VPNs, network security
- CCIE preferred
- Experience working in a lab environment
- Experience with large scale communication infrastructures to include national/international IP based communication systems
- Experience in delivering Technical Training and Technical presentations to customers
- B.S. Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience in Sun servers, Unix and Linux is a plus
- Knowledge of streaming audio, streaming video, messaging formats a plus
- Demonstrated testing experience in Wireless technologies a plus
- Development of system test strategies, test plans and research supporting the diagnosis and/or implementation of new/vendor technologies for client applications/environments
- Ability to integrate emerging products and features into existing customer communication networks; ability to assist in the selection of products and software management tools necessary to align the business solution with customer requirements.
