    MultiService Controller Series

    MultiService Controller Series
Working with HP ProCurve MultiService Mobility Access Points, HP ProCurve MultiService Mobility Controllers deliver a high-performance networking solution. The enhanced architecture scales from IEEE 802.11b to 802.11n without expensive controller upgrades. Robust identity and roles-based user account profiles, as well as Virtual Service Communities (VSCs) with independently configurable Quality of Service (QoS), authentication, encryption, and VLAN support, deliver intelligence to the edge of the network. Scalable from branch offices to large organizations, the controllers deliver fast-roaming and ultraspeed hand-offs. Wireless security is rock solid with support for the internal and external authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) servers, built-in stateful firewall, per-user VLAN mapping, and mutual controller/access point (AP) authentication.

    MultiService Device Series

    MultiService Device Series
HP ProCurve MSM317 Access Device integrates wired and wireless connectivity into a small unit that can be quickly and discretely installed in a standard wall outlet box. It provides four Ethernet ports, a 2.4 GHz wireless access point, and a pass-through RJ-45 connection to support a range of service and user connectivity options. One of the front panel Ethernet ports can be configured as an IEEE 802.3af-compliant PSE port to enable devices such as IP telephones to be powered directly from the unit. The ProCurve MSM317 Access Device requires a single Power over Ethernet (PoE) cable drop, reducing cabling, switch ports, and power sourcing equipment.

    AP-124

    AP-124
The Aruba AP-124 and AP-125 Access Points — and AP-124ABG and AP-125ABG Access Points that are upgradeable to 802.11n (Draft2.0) via software download - are 3x3 Multiple-In Multiple-Out (MIMO), dual-radio (concurrent 802.11a/n + b/g/n) operation capable of delivering combined wireless data rates of up to 600Mbps. The access points operate in 3x3 MIMO mode using existing 802.3af PoE infrastructure over a single Ethernet cable.

All four access points support legacy 802.11a/b/g clients. The AP-124ABG and AP-125ABG can be upgraded from 802.11a/b/g to 802.11n (Draft2.0) operation via software download.

Based on 2nd generation RF chips and high performance MIPS CPUs with hardware accelerated cryptographic processing, these access points can be used for wireless access, intrusion detection monitoring, traffic analysis, secure enterprise mesh, or remote access point applications across the 2.4-2.5GHz and 5GHz RF spectrums.

The mode of operation is determined by network-downloadable software, a feature that allows the access points to be re-purposed and updated without the expense of physically accessing the device.
