Application Abuse

Pharming allows the hacker to redirect traffic from that website to another web site by exploiting the vulnerabilities in the DNS server. The hacker will acquire the domain name of the site and resolve for the site and enter in a fake name. When the DNS resolves for the domain name to their real IP addresses the traffic the information is sent to the fake web sites.

This is only possible if the original site was not SSL secured or when the user is ignoring the warnings about invalid server certificates.

For more information about Netfast Anti Pharming solutions and services contact us at:services@netfast.com or call 718-706-4140.
